Funding & Female: SheEO Taking the Business World by Storm.
Have you ever been in a position where you’ve had this great, big, juicy idea that you knew you needed to create for the benefit of humanity?
You roll up your sleeves and start researching, prototyping and getting all the bits together to launch the business you’ve always dreamed of.
When it comes down to it, a lot of female entrepreneurs get stuck here. Founder of SheEO, Vicki Saunders recognized this when she set out to make her dream happen. Often, female entrepreneurs end up sitting on the sidelines, says Saunders.
Whether you’re short the bucks to take the idea from vision to reality, or lack the social networks that could get you to where you want to go -- the struggle is real!
SheEO is a radically redesigned ecosystem that supports, finances and celebrates female ventures. Rather than playing by the old rules, the company has opted to completely redesign them.
“The model brings together 500 women (called Activators) in each year’s cohort, who contribute $1100 each as an Act of Radical Generosity. The money is pooled together and loaned out at zero percent interest to five women-led Ventures selected by the Activators. All Ventures are revenue generating with export potential and are creating a better world through their business model or their product and service.”
July 17th, SheEO is hosting a Halifax Activators meet-up as a way to bring YOU the goods. Our Dartmouth gal, Purpose Led Business School graduate and SheEO winner, Sheena Russell will be sharing her success story and updating you on her entrepreneurial journey.
All are welcome, so bring your pals and get connected to a global network of female-led businesses that’re a force for good. Click here for *free* tickets!
